Built so finding a train feels easy.

Live Train Status is an independent reference tool for the Indian Railways network. It exists because tracking a train shouldn't require an account, a permission grant or a popup forest.

·What we are

A free, fast running-status tool covering all 3,900 Indian Railways trains. No login. No SMS verification. Search by name or number, see the live position, delays and platform — and then get on with your day.

We aren't IRCTC, NTES or Indian Railways. We're an unaffiliated team that thinks public transit data should be effortlessly accessible to the people who actually ride it.

·Where the data comes from

Live position, delays and platform numbers are sourced from the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) via verified third-party aggregators. Static schedule and intermediate-station data is sourced from publicly published Indian Railways timetables.

Updates typically lag behind the train's actual position by 10 to 60 minutes depending on the segment of the network and how the locomotive is reporting back. We surface the freshest data we can access and make the lag visible — never hidden.

·Editorial standards

Our blog content is curated from Indian Railways tourism sources and credited back to the original publisher. We don't publish sponsored posts or affiliate placements disguised as editorial. Train pages are generated from official schedule data — no opinion, no padding.

If you spot a factual error — a wrong route, a renamed train, an incorrect platform — please write in. We'll fix it within 48 hours.

·Who builds it

Built and maintained by a small independent team in India. We pay for servers, fonts and APIs out of pocket and are kept funded by minimal, unobtrusive ads through Google AdSense — placed only on pages where showing them doesn't get in your way.

For partnerships, data corrections or anything else, see the Contact page.

Independent tool · Not affiliated with IRCTC, Indian Railways or any government body. Live position data is sourced from public NTES feeds with a typical delay of 10–60 minutes.
